President's Address 2026/27

CATSC brings Catholic educators together, supports research and professional development, and represents their experience nationally and internationally. As the only representative for England and Wales within the World Union of Catholic Teachers, we ensure that our Catholic education community has a voice in international discussions about our shared mission.

Last year’s first joint conference with EducareM at Coombe Abbey was a particular highlight. It was wonderful to meet so many colleagues from across Catholic education, and we look forward to building on its success with our second conference in 2028.

We are acutely aware of the financial pressures facing schools and want CATSC membership to offer meaningful, practical value. We have secured partnerships covering Ofsted preparation tools, school websites and communications, and stationery supplies. These partnerships offer access to trusted expertise and preferential rates, creating opportunities for cost savings, if not immediately, then in future academic years. Our partners also welcome introductions to local authorities and multi-academy trusts, where further savings may be achieved across groups of schools.

Alongside school membership, CATSC also offers individual membership for teachers. We would be delighted to hear from teachers who are interested in joining, becoming more involved in our work and helping to shape and drive CATSC forward.

We hope your school will join us, and we warmly welcome greater engagement and participation from headteachers, senior leaders and colleagues throughout your school community.

With every good wish,

John Nish
